Beau and Blaire
Is it February of 2025? Yes. Am I just now writing my blog post for December of 2024? Also yes. We listen and we don't judge people LOL. Also, this post was well worth the wait, I promise! A couple of months ago, I had the joy of photographing Beau and Blaire, the sweetest twin newborns, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to share their session with you.
It feels like just yesterday that I photographed their big brother, Banks (pictured on the left as a newborn), back in December 2022. He was an absolute joy, and seeing him step into his new role as a big brother for the twins was such a heartwarming moment. It’s always a little extra special when I get to see my little clients grow, and Banks did not disappoint with his gentle and loving nature as he posed alongside Beau and Blaire. And of course, it wouldn’t have been complete without Norman making an appearance. Norman is one of my all-time favorite furry clients, and having him there made the session even more fun and full of love.
Mom, Kendra, reached out to me in the summer about scheduling a newborn session, and I was beyond excited to work with her beautiful family again. I don’t get to photograph twins all that often, so whenever the opportunity arises, it’s always a special experience. Multiples bring an added challenge—two little babes to comfort, pose, and photograph—but challenges are what push us to become better at what we do. Honestly, I don’t even know if I can call Beau and Blaire a challenge. They were absolutely perfect during the session. So chill, so sweet, and you could just tell that they found comfort in each other’s presence. It was such a joy to capture their bond, and it was clear they were content, knowing they were together.
Although newborn sessions primarily focus on the baby(ies), I offer a deluxe package that includes family shots. I am always sure to get a variety of poses (mom and babies, dad and babies, siblings, everyone, etc.) A variety within the gallery ensures that my clients have plenty of shots to choose from and that is super important to me, especially as a mom myself!
What’s even more amazing is that Kendra carried these two babes to full term. Twins are often born prematurely, and sometimes with health concerns, but Beau and Blaire were completely healthy and absolutely perfect—fully "cooked" and ready for their big debut!
At first, Kendra hesitated about bringing Norman along, worried it might be too hectic with a two-year-old and twins in tow. But I told her Norman had to be there! And, as expected, the session went flawlessly. Banks was such a great big brother, making his debut in front of the camera with such grace and joy. You could see how excited he was to be part of this new chapter in their family’s story.
Of course, with two little babes so close to Christmas, I couldn’t resist incorporating some holiday magic into their session. A Christmas setup felt like the perfect way to capture the warmth and joy that comes with welcoming new life during the holiday season. There’s truly nothing more special than a new baby—or two—during this magical time of year.
I am so thankful for the opportunity to do what I love, and I’m so grateful to Kendra and Levi for trusting me to capture their family over the years. Watching their family grow has been such a privilege, and I can’t wait to see Beau and Blaire grow (Banks and Norman too!!)
