April was such a special month in the studio! I hosted Mommy & Me Mini Sessions over two days and photographed 17 beautiful mommas and their sweet little ones—22 kiddos in total. It was such a joy getting to capture these precious moments, and I’m still smiling thinking about all the love that filled the room.
This year’s setup might be one of my favorites so far. The gorgeous flower wall came from Daniel Decor Rental LLC, and let me just say—Allison Daniel is amazing to work with. She brought my vision to life so perfectly. If you’re planning a wedding or event, she’s definitely someone you’ll want to reach out to.
I also added in a neutral seamless paper backdrop for a simple, timeless option. It gave a beautiful balance to the florals and allowed each session to feel unique. Whether moms wanted bold and romantic or soft and minimal, I had something for everyone.
Out of the 17 sessions, 16 were returning clients—and that honestly means so much to me. I feel incredibly lucky to have such a loyal and supportive client base. Watching these families come back year after year is truly one of the best parts of my job. It’s wild (and so fun!) to see how much the kids have grown—some of them I’ve been photographing since they were tiny babies, and now they’re running around the studio like little pros.
I also got to meet one new family this time around, which was such a joy! I always love connecting with new people, and I’m already hoping it’s the start of more sessions together in the future.
As a mom myself, I know how rare it is to actually be in the photos with our kids. We’re usually the ones taking the pictures or juggling a million things at once. That’s why I feel so strongly about these sessions. They’re a chance for moms to press pause, snuggle their babies, and have this season of life captured in a way that feels real and beautiful.
It sounds cliché, but time really does fly. These photos become little treasures we get to look back on forever.
To every mom who stepped in front of my camera this year—thank you. It was such an honor to be part of your story, even for just a few minutes. These sessions were filled with so much love, and I’m so grateful to do what I do.
